Lasallian Club Holds January–February General Meeting
The Lasallian Club held its January and February general meeting, bringing together representatives from all active student clubs to review recent activities, accomplishments, and challenges within the school’s extracurricular community. The meeting served as a platform for reflection, coordination, and collaboration among student organizations.
Following the opening session and introductions, each club presented its report, highlighting achievements, strengths, and areas requiring improvement during the past two months. The discussion also allowed clubs to share their experiences and explore ways to strengthen student engagement and cooperation across different organizations.
Two active clubs delivered notable updates during the session:
Astronomy Club: President Bamlakhail Asnake stated, “We invited a guest and created an opportunity for students to share their ideas and express their thoughts with others. This helped students build networks with their peers and boosted their confidence in communicating their ideas.” He also explained that the club faced a challenge due to limited time availability because of examinations, which made it difficult to organize additional activities.
Olympiad Club: President Latera Tessema reported, “We recruited students who are interested in mathematics and chemistry competitions and organized the first round of mathematics and chemistry tests.” He added that the exam was conducted successfully, but the club faced a challenge due to the low number of student participants. Despite this difficulty, the club plans to continue encouraging more students to participate in future Olympiad activities.
The reports presented during the meeting highlighted the important role that student clubs play in promoting academic development, collaboration, and leadership among students. The general meeting provided a valuable space for evaluating progress, addressing challenges, and sharing ideas for improvement.
