On August 2, 2025, the halls of St. John buzzed with excitement as the Lasallian Youth Club hosted its Annual Club Leaders Meeting, a cornerstone event that celebrates the vibrant spirit of our student community. This gathering brought together faculty and club leaders to honor the dedication of our young leaders and their commitment to the Lasallian values of faith, service, and community. The Lasallian Youth Club, a driving force behind student-led initiatives, fosters leadership and collaboration, empowering students to make a lasting impact. The event was not just a reflection on the past year’s achievements but a joyful reminder of the potential within our school’s youth to shape a brighter future.

Event Highlights

The morning began with an electrifying introductory speech by Biruk Daniel, the Lasallian Youth Club president. His words set the tone for the day, igniting the audience with passion. “Together, we’re not just a club—we’re a family united by service and purpose,” Biruk declared, outlining the club’s mission to nurture leadership and compassion.

Next, the Vice President, Abraham Alem, delivered the Annual Report, a compelling overview of the year’s triumphs and challenges. From organizing community service drives to overcoming logistical hurdles, the report highlighted the resilience of the club. “We faced obstacles, but each one taught us how to grow,” Abraham shared, earning nods of agreement from fellow club leaders. The report showcased initiatives like food drives and peer mentoring programs, underscoring the club’s role in fostering Lasallian values.

Brother Kassu, our esteemed principal, then took the stage, delivering a heartfelt message on the importance of youth leadership. His speech was a powerful reminder of the Lasallian commitment to service. “You are the torchbearers of our values,” he said, urging students to lead with integrity and empathy. His words resonated deeply, inspiring students to see themselves as agents of change.

The certification ceremony was a highlight, filled with pride and emotion. Presidents, Vice Presidents, and Secretaries of each active club received certificates for their outstanding leadership, each greeted with cheers from their peers. The room glowed with admiration as these leaders stepped forward, their contributions—from organizing events to mentoring younger students—celebrated in front of a supportive audience.

The event culminated in the much-anticipated Best Club Award ceremony, recognizing three exemplary clubs: the Life Sharing Club, Self Development Club, and Olympiad Club.
