The Lasallian Club held its November general meeting, bringing together representatives from all active student clubs to review recent activities, accomplishments, and challenges within the school’s extracurricular community. The meeting served as a platform for reflection, coordination, and collaboration among student organizations.

Following the opening session and introductions, each club presented its monthly report, highlighting achievements, strengths, and areas requiring improvement. A common concern raised by several clubs was the limited availability of the ground hall, which affected the implementation of some planned activities.

Two active clubs delivered notable updates during the session:

Feminism Club: President Yostena Deksios stated, “We worked to raise awareness on gender-related issues through various programs, including discussions addressing the growing concern of cervical cancer. In addition, we organized an empowerment concert specifically for high school girl students and held internal meetings to ensure all members clearly understood the club’s mission and objectives.” Despite facing certain challenges, the club successfully carried out impactful awareness and engagement initiatives.

Self-Development Club: President Edelawit Amare reported, “In November, we organized an academic-focused program featuring guest speakers Kensa Tilhahun and Simbo Derje, who shared their personal experiences and strategies for preparing for the EESCE examination.” She added that the program revealed a growing demand among students for academic support, encouraging the club to plan more development-oriented activities in the future.

The reports presented during the meeting highlighted the vital role student clubs play in promoting social awareness, leadership, and academic growth. The general meeting proved to be an effective space for evaluating progress, identifying challenges, and sharing ideas for improvement.

The continued dedication of student organizations reaffirms the school’s commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and development-oriented extracurricular environment that benefits all students.
